According to Cisco’s Future of Technology Narrative India research, chief information officers (94 percent), traditionally in-office professionals (93 percent), and IT decision makers (93 percent) agree that work-from-home (WFH) practices have modified technology expectations for an in-office experience.

In-office work now has high expectations for high-quality collaboration, seamless communication, fast broadband internet, and secure application connections.

Over 80% of respondents said that the possibility to work offsite instead of coming into the office every day had a direct impact on their decision to stay with a job, and a comparable percentage said they don’t want to be in the office for the entire week. In the near future (next 6-12 months), respondents believe their company’s culture and management style will adapt to a hybrid workforce in the following three ways:

1. Allowing employees to choose whether they want to work from home or in the office (51 percent ).

2. Promoting staff well-being (50 percent ).

3. Preventing fatigue by managing meeting schedules and workload (49 percent ).
